friday and pre shabbiz

friday lauren went to the doctor to check how things were with yael... eye infection and stuff. we were told if anything gets worse we needed to go to A&E. just what you need on a friday!

ben picked up orly from gan and came home. did the washing at the neighbours and started clearing our back garden of rubbish in preparation for a full scale nature observation centre. orly was excellent, we looked for the "deers" and even saw a lizard, a "tiny baby one that was looking for his mummy and daddy". we lifted a few rocks and found a large black beetle. daddy tried to pick it up but orly kept on saying "no daddy no, he wants to stay quiet alone in his house". orly also found "the zoo" in our back garden... there are (amongst the bushes) a few hidden large animal cages, what these are for we werent quiet sure! orly spotted 3 jays playing :)

sam stayed at ours for shabbat and off we went to shul with everyone. near the end of shul ben came outside to see lauren in a bit of a state (!), the number of rapids in the nile would have increased had we been close enough, sophie put us in touch with the local paediatrician (obviously the gabbai of the shul) and he very kindly offered us to come back to his to check out yael. after years of having patient visitors joining us after shul at the goldings it was our turn to be the visitees. yael had another ear infection and we're back on the antibiotics! this saved us another long night in shaarei tzedek (thank you so much!).

...and we were even in time for dinner! we ate at a lovely family and had a great variety of food! beetroot and meatball soup (a really great yemenite dish!) amongst others. orly played nicely with the twins and even fed the goldfish at the table some of her rice... thanks orly. some very tired kaysers headed home to sleepy land (sort of).
